HOW IT WORKS

From a room scan to finished plans

Scanivo uses the LiDAR scanner on an iPhone Pro to capture a space as you walk through it. One capture becomes a 3D model, a dimensioned floor plan in feet and inches, and files that AutoCAD and Revit open.

01 / Scan

Open the app and walk through each room with the phone. LiDAR captures the walls, doors and windows as you move, and the app builds the room as you go, so you can see what is still missing before you leave the site.

Scanning works with an iPhone 12 Pro or any later Pro model. You do not need an account to scan; sign in when you want to upload a scan and get the files.

02 / View in 3D

Review the model on the phone, or upload it and open it in the Scanivo web portal from any browser. Walk through the model, switch layers on and off, and open the 2D plan.

Everyone on your team can open the same scan in the portal; nobody has to install anything.

03 / Measure

Measure point to point on the model, with snapping to corners and edges. If a dimension you need is not on the plan, measure it from the scan instead of going back to the site.

All lengths are shown in feet and inches.

04 / Export

Every file is generated from the same capture, so nothing is redrawn or measured twice:

  • PDF: dimensioned plan sheets with door and window schedules.
  • DXF: for AutoCAD, at 1:1 scale in inches with named layers.
  • IFC: for Revit and other BIM tools, with walls, doors, windows and rooms.
  • USDZ: a 3D model you can view in AR on an iPhone, plus GLB and OBJ.
